George Washington Carver Medal Ceremony

Dr. Herma Williams to receive 2018 Carver Medal.  Dr. Williams was born in the Republic of Panama, Panama City who grew up on the Southside in Chicago. She worked as a senior academic administrator at numerous colleges and universities. Williams served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Fresno Pacific University, 2006-2011, Gordon College near Boston, as Associate Provost. Herma William received numerous fellowships, including the Ford Fellowship, Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), American Council on Education (ACE), Kellogg National Leadership Fellowship, Harvard University Institute for Educational Administrator and the Fulbright Fellowship. Dr.Williams received her BA and MS degrees from Southern Illinois University and her PH.D. from Iowa State University.
