The library was completed in 1964 and named in honor of Rex A. Dunn, a Simpson alumnus. It contains more than 175,000 items, including books, periodicals, videos, DVDs and CDs. Many more resources (print and electronic) can be located via the library's website. Dunn features three classrooms, individual study carrels, and several couches and comfortable chairs for studying. A computer lab and the reference desk are on the ground floor. The Avery Craven Room, located on the second floor, contains one of the most complete Antebellum Era collections in existence, as well as the Lehmann Collection of Ancient Pottery.
