Korean-born violist Dr. Donghee Han is known for her captivating performances, marked by emotional depth and sensitivity. With a passion for both performance and pedagogy, she has garnered acclaim for her enthusiastic dedication to music.
Ms. Han, a versatile performer in solo, chamber, and orchestral music, has graced stages across the globe, captivating audiences in the United States, South Korea, China, Japan, and New Zealand. We are honored to have her collaborate in performance with Simpson's Dr. Jin Park, pianist. The two performers will present the premiere of two pieces, written for Dr. Han, by Korean-born composer Han-Ki Kim.
When and Where: Sunday October 6, 2024 at 3pm. Lekberg Hall
This event is free and open to the public. A reception, at which audience members may visit with the performers, will follow the recital.
About the Simpson String Artist Series. The String Artist Series showcases the artistry of accomplished professional string musicians who have a connection to Iowa.
