This session, presented by Dr. Lau Cesarco-Eglin, will focus on a brief overview of the growing Latinx population in the U.S. What are the words that are used by the Latinx Communities to talk about themselves? What does that tell us about their identity? How do the different communities relate to language? What does the language used by the different Latinx Communities say about their cultures? The other part of the session will be a participatory workshop where we will look into what it means to have Latinx students in our classes.
NOTE: While in Phase Orange all sessions will be zoom only. While in Phase Yellow, both online and F2F
