See what’s happening on campus and join us at upcoming events.
As we celebrate Black History Month and think about those who have paved the way for Black people in America and at Simpson – please join us as we celebrate the successes of Mekisha Barnes, ’96; Shanice Whitney, ’14 and Adrian Hawkins, ’14. These Black women and Simpson graduates have not only walked through the pillars in front of College Hall on their first day at Simpson, but left their mark on our community.
They will also share their experiences as Black women at Simpson. Their experiences in the classroom, involvement in the arts and social organizations, and in athletics are rooted in celebrations and hardships that our campus needs to recognize.
Please reach out to Emili Radke (emili.radke@simpson.edu) if you have questions.
NOTE: This session will be offered by Zoom only and will only be offered on Wednesday.
