12:10-1:00 p.m. Lunch outside (North side of Carver Science)
Prayer offered by Chaplain Mara Bailey. Informal discussion over lunch with members of the Simpson community (junior faculty panel members, mentors, and staff). Brief overview of Simpson’s Methodist affiliation by Mara.
1:00-2:00 p.m. Mentors and/or junior faculty will take the new faculty around campus to see classrooms and review any technology in the
classrooms, stop by Student Development on the 2nd floor of Kent Campus Center to have a quick photo taken for their faculty ID, visit the Bookstore to meet the staff, look over course books (if applicable) and receive a gift from Faculty Development.
2:00-3:30 p.m. Meeting with Human Resources staff members, Robin Buthmann to talk about benefit review, and Mimi Bartley-Nancarrow to collect payroll forms, and discuss other human resource items, Carver Science Center, room 233.
